Guy Rogers
Clinical Director & Lead Physiotherapist

Prime was founded by Guy Rogers, a Physiotherapist and Sport Scientist.

 

Guy has worked for many years within professional sport, including a role within the medical team at Leicester City Football Club which included winning the Premier League in 2015/16. He has also been part of the backroom team at Nottingham Forest FC.

 

He is extremely passionate about bringing elite level care to all and it is for this very reason that Prime Performance Physiotherapy was born. Guy now specialises in treating running injuries and the application of Shockwave Therapy. He combines his passion for high quality rehabilitation, with the leading technology to help ensure that the clinic remains at the forefront and is able offer the best treatment options for our clients.

 

In his spare time, Guy loves spending time with his family and keeping active as he has a strong belief that as healthcare professionals we should practise what we preach! As a keen sportsman, he has experienced his own fair share of injuries that have allowed him to better understand both the physical and psychological challenges that lay ahead on the road to recovery

Frank Baines 
Graduate Physiotherapist
​

As a newly qualified Physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2024. Frank is excited to join the Prime Performance Physiotherapy team, bringing experience from working with various elite sports teams including Scottish Gymnastics and Nottingham Rugby Club.

Before embarking on his career as a Physiotherapist, Frank competed internationally for Great Britain in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics. This experience allowed him to develop a unique understanding of the physical and psychological impact of injuries. Frank strongly believes in the therapeutic properties of exercise, and is passionate about using movement, massage, and manual therapy to aid his patients’ recovery and enhance their quality of life.

Outside of the clinic, Frank enjoys running, cooking, watching films and following American Football. Frank looks forward to contributing to the well-being of our community through my work at Prime Performance Physiotherapy.

Phoebe Robinson

Sport Rehabilitation and Massage Therapist

 

As a graduate Sport Rehabilitator from the University of Hull Phoebe specialises in Injury Rehabilitation, MSK assessment and Massage. Having sustained a number of injuries in the past, Phoebe learnt first-hand the impact that injury and pain can have on both our physical and mental well-being.

 

Phoebe has worked across a variety of populations, whilst also previously working as the lead Sport Rehabilitator for Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey Team. She is extremely passionate about helping all individuals achieve their goals, whether that’s getting back to gardening, getting back on the running track or working from home.

 

In her spare time, Phoebe loves to practice what she preaches and works hard to maintain her own health and fitness. She enjoys training in the gym whilst also playing netball. Phoebe also enjoys walking in the Peak District with her friends and family and cooking up a storm of sweet and savoury treats in the kitchen.

Isaac Bennett

Sports Rehabilitation and Massage Therapist

​

Isaac is the latest Graduate Sport Rehabilitator to join the team at Prime and having graduated from the University of Nottingham in the summer of 2023 he has already amassed significant experience in sport and private practice.

 

Isaac specialises in Injury Rehabilitation, MSK assessment and Massage. He has experienced his own long-term injuries in the past, therefore has personal experience of juggling the physical and mental challenges during rehabilitation.

 

Isaac has worked across a variety of populations, with experience in physiotherapy clinics and sports teams. He is extremely driven to help other people with their health goals, both physical and mental during their road to recovery. He uses his own knowledge and experiences with injury to help others achieve their goals during rehabilitation.

 

In his spare time, Isaac enjoys socialising with his family and friends back in Manchester. He is also a keen gym goer and enjoys playing football, tennis and going on long hikes around the peak district and Wales whenever he has spare time.

Ed Mateus Hebo

Graduate Physiotherapist

Ed is a dynamic and passionate recent graduate Physiotherapist from the University of Essex, receiving a well-rounded education that laid the foundation for his career. Ed’s academic journey provided him with the knowledge and tools necessary to excel in the world of Physiotherapy.

​

Building on the strong academic background, Ed has gained valuable placement experience in musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Ed’s hands-on experience in this field has equipped him with the ability to assess and rehabilitate patients with musculoskeletal injuries. Previous battles with injuries helped introduce Ed to Physiotherapy where he fell in love with rehabilitation and helping individuals regain their physical health and well-being.

​

Beyond professional pursuits, Ed's life is infused with a deep passion for sports. Particularly basketball, in which he previously played competitively. He is always eager to explore new sports and activities that get his heart racing. Ed is also adventurous and enjoys exploring new landscapes and learning from different cultures.

Nina Thomas

Nutrition Consultant

Your personal Nutritionist, Nina Thomas, is a fully trained and Registered Nutritionist, completing her professional training to become a member of the Association for Nutrition. Registered Nutritionists are competent, qualified nutrition professionals who meet the rigorous applied standards for scientifically sound evidence-based nutrition and its use in practice.

​

A passion for science, food and nutrition led her to Kings College, London to study Food Science. Having developed food and drink ranges for major retailers her career has allowed her to travel the world researching food trends and cuisines and focus on providing healthy eating for consumers. Following a Masters in Nutritional Sciences she became a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr). As well as keeping fully up-to-date, a Registered Nutritionist only gives advice on evidence-based scientific research. It’s the same kind of science used by our NHS and Public Health England to define nutrition policy.

Helen Matthews

Pelvic Health Physiotherapist 

 

Helen is a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist. Her passion lies in supporting women with pelvic health conditions improve their quality of life and overall wellbeing.  In the past, Helen has worked closely with the Obstetric and Gynaecological team at Nottingham University Hospitals treating patients with an array of pelvic health disorders.  

 

In addition she has undergone post graduate studies in Pelvic Health to further her understanding and knowledge into pelvic organ prolapse, urinary dysfunction and the treatment of pregnancy and post-natal conditions.

 

She graduated in 2007 from the University of Essex with a Msc (hons) degree in Physiotherapy and is registered with the Health and Professions Council (HCPC) and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).  She is also a member of the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Group (POGP).

 

In her spare time, Helen enjoys keeping active by playing netball and tennis regularly.  She has encountered and overcome her own pelvic health struggles upon returning to high impact sport and wants to help women return to activity because she understand the value of exercise and keeping fit.  She has two small children and her weekends mainly involve football and lego!
