
Our Clinical Pilates is a therapeutic form of Pilates used for improving strength, mobility and balance. In a therapeutic approach we also use Clinical Pilates for injury rehabilitation, pain management and movement correction.
The sessions are designed and tailored to your individual needs to emphasise correct muscle activation. The focus is on the quality of the movement and to help your condition.

The service is ran by our clinical team member, Lauren Brown our Clinical Pilates instructor, Lauren will guide you through the exercises, correcting when required to make sure you get the very best out of your session.

Injury Management & Prevention

Pilates can help target correct muscle activation and retrain strength in the deep stabilising muscles around the lower back, hips and pelvis. Clinical Pilates can be delivered as a stand alone option or in conjunction with an individualised rehabilitation programme to help support your journey to a stronger tomorrow.

Pilates an effective stress relief workout. With the controlled movements, breathwork and mindful awareness, it can help release physical tension, create a calming effect which will leave you feeling mentally and physically refreshed.

How will I know if this is right for me?
Your clinician will signpost you towards Clinical Pilates and explain how this can be of benefit to you.

How does it differ from a class?
Clinical Pilates is a 1:1 session lasting 45 minutes, providing an individualised session plan that a class is unable to give. The instructor is a degree qualified, member of our clinical team and thus has a deeper understanding of your injury and what limitations you may have.

How often should I be doing Clinical Pilates?
This will be a shared decision between yourself and your clinician. Pilates is recommended 1-2 sessions a week, you can also benefit from a home exercise program to support your Pilates which can be beneficial to help you reach your goals
